My first job out of college was as a secretary in the newsroom at new newly launched Independent Newspaper. From there I worked up the ranks via the Foreign Desk to become PA to the Editor/Office Manager of the Independent on Sunday. I loved being at the heart of the news in the editorial department and working with top name journalists/writers. A move to Yorkshire to work for the Editor on another newly launched newspaper, Yorkshire on Sunday gave me new experience including marketing and promotions and managing a team of copytakers. Establishing relationships with clients and customers at Celtic Castles booking agency gave me an insight into starting a business, writing plans, business administration, invoicing and customer service. The boss was so impressed he asked me to manage the business while he went on sabbatical.
I’ve always gone a step further than just being a PA. and I can offer your business a flexible, reliable personal assistant working conscientiously, with discretion, dedication, creative initiative, adaptability, common sense and enthusiasm.
In my spare time I am secretary of our local Chamber of Commerce, chair of my school PTA and I am working in consultation with our district council to provide improved play areas for my home town. I love spending time with my family and walking my lovely chocolate labrador.
